Indeed: once again I apologize for having been so dumb on this list. I had obviously understood something different and entirely wrong altogether.
Since JED is my preferred editor for quite about everything, I'm tempted to use it too as an alternate editor for Pine: however, as I said, Pico works for me most of the time and the only annoying thing is with the ^K/^U system which sometimes I tend to mess up. For more complex, and fortunately rare editing tasks, I shell out.
