Okay, so Debian will keep the tweaking to work around this linking
problem.

I've updated the Debian package and plan to release 0.99.19pre210 this
week. So when you release 0.99.19 we are up to date and can push out this
version very fast. Günter prepared a new release of jedmodes that works
with 0.99.19, so we will get a happy advent season. :-)
