Günter, could you please file this as a bug in the Debian BTS? You could use this mail almost verbatim as a bug report. You have mailed me personally, but as I recently mailed to this list, I have not been able to free up any time to work on the Debian packages. This is also why a new maintainer is taking these over. If you file this as a bug, it'll get fixed in the next upload. :)
