[slang-users] Paul (or anyone is interested for that matter)

In my never ending quest of work on SLAG, I stumbled across a a database engine that
looks like it would be a good fit for what I want to accomplish. It is called
db.star (db.*) or db.linux. It is based upon the Raima's db_VISTA (today called Raima Data Manager).

The url for the database is:

http://www.ittia.com/dbstar/dbstar.html

There are also other "flavours" of this database. The most notable one is
often called "typhoon".

Now, I like the fact it uses a "network" model - meaning the database files/fields
can be accessed via linked node lists, not that it runs across a network, thus makes it
come close to the "Multi Value" database Appgen has. The added benefit is that db.*
is transactional and seems to be ACID compliant. In business application development
MV database's are infinitely flexible.

I joined the "ittia" group so I could download the source (which I did). The source
is released under the GPL, so licensing is in good shape.

Now can or would you (or if someone else is interested) help in doing a S-Lang
to db.star interface? I think db.star would be an ideal embedded
database engine for S-lang.
