One should read before posting :-)

After modifying JED_ROOT in src/Makefile and a re-compile I get:

framstag@boskopp:~/sw/src/jed-0.99-19: /tmp/sw/bin/jed -batch
loading /tmp/sw/lib/jed/lib/site.sl
loading /tmp/sw/lib/jed/lib/os.sl
loading /tmp/sw/lib/jed/lib/menus.sl
loading /tmp/sw/lib/jed/lib/jed.rc

Everything looks ok now.
