I started a new development series (0.99-19) and included a patch that hopefully corrects the problem. The development version is in "trunk" of the repository and 0.99-18 is now considered to be a "branch". This also means that the daily snapshot will be tracking the development version. If the 0.99-19 patch solves your problem, then it will be backported to 0.99-18.
