Ummm, I'm very new to the list here, so please correct me if I'm wrong. You are able to repeat a search by pressing ^s twice. Is that what you are asking?

If this would break the expected default behaviour, it could be included with, say, custom_variable("Isearch_Set_LAST_SEARC", 0)
