It would help, if you told us to which version/package you upgraded.
If I got it right, add_color_object is new in version 99-16, so maybe you
have still an 99-15 laying around.
Please try running 'jed -batch' to find the offending file
and tell us the output.
As this seems to be a Debian specific problem, you could also use the
reportbug tool or mail to the Debian packagers list
