xjed quiting on me 2

I'm really sorry, that was the wrong letter...

here's the real one...
I'm using xjed on a RedHat linux 9, gnome.

sometimes when I use the arrow keys it just quits on me.

it happends more often if i view UTF-8 files.

anyone else that know the problem?
anyone have a solution to share?
