[jed-users] jed hangs on solaris

I have a difficult jed/solaris problem:

I have JED 0.99.19 on Solaris 10. Everything works fine until I start it
through mutt:

fex@fex:~: grep jed .mutt/muttrc 
set editor="jed %s -f mail_mode"

It displays
loading /home/framstag/local/jed/lib/emacs.sl
and then hangs.

On another login-shell I can see:

fex@fex:~: psg jed 
    USER   PID  PPID    STIME TT             TIME     ZONE COMMAND
     fex  1302  1300 20:23:53 pts/1         00:00      fex jed /tmp/fex/mutt-fex-155-1085-0 -f mail_mode

fex@fex:~: truss -p 1302
    Stopped by signal #27, SIGTTOU, in ioctl()


Is it a mutt, jed or solaris bug?

This problem does not appear when I run jed directly from my login bash.
