[Jed-users-l] ^G to unmark text

I'm on a Mac ssh'd into an Ubuntu machine running JED.
I'm using Emacs emulation.

I'd like ^G to quit keyboard and to unmark any marked text (like Emacs
does).
"Esc-x pop-mark-0" works to unmark text, but when I assign it to a key, it
doesn't unmark the text:

setkey ("pop_mark_0;kbd_quit()", "^G");

Any ideas?
