0.99.17 is already released. (See the anouncements in this list)

So I a running Jed Version: B0.99.17-135; S-Lang Version: 2.0.5
now.

It is a developers release, the stable 0.99.18 is to be expected soon.

It always takes time, until the distributions take over (especially for a
release marked as "developers").

There is, however a Debian package of jed 0.99.17 in the "experimental"
section. (It will go to "unstable" as soon as we get the new version of
jed-extra ready.)
