minor bug in INSTALL.unx?

Building the new jed pre-release on SuSE linux 9.1 I followed the instructions 
and did

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/jed

after which the configuration process set JED_ROOT to /usr/local/jed/jed.

When I did

./configure --prefix=/usr/local

everything went as it was supposed to, i.e. JED_ROOT was /usr/local/jed/.
